A Day in the Life: This role oversees the vehicle condition of the Hertz Fleet, impacting the company's success in establishing and maintaining a Hertz Brand Standard while minimizing expenses and downtime, and ensuring return on investment. The position collaborates with Tech Ops to improve vehicle quality from purchase through deletion channels. The salary for this position is $60,000/year.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain a Hertz brand standard across the fleet.
- Interpret, implement, and administer vehicle manufacturer’s turnback programs, managing costs to maximize profit.
- Manage Hertz Car Sales programs and associated costs.
- Use reporting and documentation to monitor vehicles eligible for deletion and prepare management reports.
- Negotiate with vehicle manufacturers, auction representatives, and sales channels, providing feedback to Hertz operations managers.
- Prepare administrative paperwork for the fleet, salvage packages, and oversee quality control during fleet work.
- Partner with and assist the Maintenance Manager with inspections and daily operations adherence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive knowledge of automobiles, including safety, cosmetic, and mechanical aspects.
- Ability to analyze and interpret Hertz contractual obligations for vehicle return standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn digital networks.
- Strong collaboration skills across multiple functions and locations.
- Influence and adaptability skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two+ years of supervisory management experience; industry experience a plus.
- Results-driven with decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
- Capability to drive organizational change.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and think critically.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Courageous leadership and accountability.
- Extensive travel required—up to 50%.
