Position: Trade Marketing Manager US

Our client is an important Italian multinational company operating in the Consumer Goods sector.

Role

The candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the Company’s trade marketing strategy in the United States, in line with the guidelines set by the International Marketing Director. He/She will oversee the allocation of the marketing budget to the most effective and high-priority marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, ensuring full support to the Sales Force.

Responsibilities / Activities
  • Develop, advise, and monitor the implementation of marketing, advertising, and promotional plans, and lead brand development for all the categories
  • Dedicate approximately 50% of the time to collaboration with the sales team for retail chains and other channels.
  • Analyze promotions and profitability (discounts, trade terms) to support sales decisions.
  • Support sales with data analysis, buyer presentations and negotiation materials.
  • Monitor sell-in and sell-out at customer level.
  • Support category management analyses to optimize assortment, shelf positioning and planograms.
  • Support sales in organizing trade fairs and local in-house trade events.
  • Join buyer meetings alongside sales teams and brokers.
  • Drive shopper marketing initiatives: in-store campaigns, POP materials and engagement activities aligned with brand strategy.
  • Analyze consumer and shopper insights to optimize positioning with clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing on the positioning of new products, focusing on trade acceptance (packaging, claims, pricing).
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record in developing channel-specific strategies (retail, wholesale, e-commerce)
  • Strong ability to analyze purchasing behavior to enhance in-store presence
  • Knowledge of tools such as Nielsen, IRI, POS data, Excel, Power BI
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data and strategies clearly to internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to translate insights into actionable steps
