Position Responsibilities- Support surgical admissions, client communication, medical record accuracy, and discharge coordination
- Prepare patients for anesthesia, including pre‑op diagnostics, bloodwork, and radiographs
- Induce, maintain, monitor, and recover anesthesia; perform accurate drug and CRI calculations
- Set up and break down operating rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Act as scrub nurse and maintain strict aseptic technique during procedures
- Circulate in the OR, anticipate surgeon needs, and aseptically open instruments/supplies
- Clip, prep, position, and connect patients to monitoring equipment for surgery
- Maintain, clean, wrap, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment
- Handle, prepare, and submit histopathology and microbiology samples
- Support emergency transfers, hospitalized patients, and provide clear communication across teams
- Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in surgical or emergency settings. High school diploma or equivalent required; LVT certification is prioritized.
- Understand all basic veterinary knowledge, including restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc. with a strong understanding of anesthesia, patient monitoring, and aseptic technique, familiarity with surgical equipment cleaning, wrapping, and sterilization.
- Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
- Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) are required; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
