Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2317) – Join to apply for the Guest Advocate role at Target.
Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $15.50 USD per hour.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when assistance is requested.
- Make guests aware of current promos, store activities, and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Explain how to use Target App features, including Wallet, and assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
- Return processing: attempt every return and follow register prompts; partner with leaders as needed to resolve guest needs while following policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage stock during store hours, supporting guest needs.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders, and DU returns while adhering to applicable laws and company policies.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active environment where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key.
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).
- Strong communication, positive language, and attentiveness to guests’ needs.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to educate guests about products and services and engage around them.
- Ability to use handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and with a team.
- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks within time frames.
