Clinic days are currently: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays), 8 hours per day (excluding breaks).

Description:

4 step primary health care compensation grid for 0.8 FTE position, inclusive of 176 clinic days per year and on-call requirements.
Emergency room coverage is in addition to clinical coverage and is remunerated through the Rural Emergency Room Stabilization Agreement for Services. Call Schedule

Description:

24-hour on-call coverage is required for hospital inpatients, home care and long-term care residents, as well as for critical lab values. Currently, the on-call responsibilities are shared equitably among physicians in the community.

The community of Estevan, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a team orientated and professional family physician to join the health care team. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care services to the community of Estevan and surrounding area, and will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the acute care and emergency services in the area.

St. Joseph's Hospital , located in Estevan, is a fully accredited district hospital which provides the following services:
Acute Care, Obstetrics Ward, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Dialysis Ward, full diagnostics including Laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound & CT Services.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the educational needs of medical students, residents, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. The successful candidate will be encouraged to become involved in the academic efforts in the Department of Family Medicine in our area.

The successful candidate may be eligible for:

• The SMA Retention Fund , which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $7,000 - $14,000 per year for fulltime work.
