Position: Permanent Educational Assistant

In this Educational Assistant role, you’ll provide specialized support for students as part of the Pleasantdale School community. Focused on life skills and academic programming, you will assist learners in transitioning and addressing individual needs. Key duties include student supervision, personal care assistance, and effective collaboration with teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate life skills and academic programming for students

• Ensure safe supervision for students with high behavioral needs

• Transport students in personal vehicle as needed

• Address personal hygiene and medical assistance for learners

• Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or a recognized equivalent

• Valid driver’s license for transportation duties

• Ability to adapt and work as part of a team

• Knowledge of educational computer software is beneficial

• Background in education or related fields is a plus
