Join Southeast College as a full-time Powerline Technician Instructor in Estevan. Leverage your expertise in powerline work to guide future technicians through hands-on training and skill development.
This instructor role involves teaching all levels of the Saskatchewan Powerline Technician Apprenticeship. You will cover crucial topics such as pole climbing safety, rigging, and both AC and DC theory. Regularly assessing student progress and maintaining comprehensive records will be essential, along with contributing to curriculum development as an expert in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct Powerline Technician Apprenticeship Program Levels 1-4
• Regularly evaluate student progress and grades
• Teach technical topics including safety and bonding procedures
• Participate in curriculum design to enhance training modules
• Ensure practical demonstrations of training techniques are effective
Requirements:
• Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Powerline Technician
• 5-10 years of recent, relevant field experience
• Proficient in communication, conflict resolution, and organization
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and training management software
• Preference for candidates with adult teaching experience
