Facilities and General Labour Summer Student Employment

Students who apply for this application may be considered for summer student opportunities in any of our Ministries to maintain facilities or services provided to clients. Students can identify their area of interest from a variety of areas. These opportunities are physical in nature and include duties like janitorial, food services, groundskeeping, housekeeping, laundry, or trades helper.

Our Summer Student Program offers opportunities across eleven (11) employment streams, representing a wide range of work performed across Government of Saskatchewan. Students are encouraged to apply to one or more employment streams that align with their field of study, skills, and interests.

We encourage students to apply early to the program. Please note that typically, most hiring managers will not begin contacting candidates until early in 2027. Only those students selected for further assessment will be contacted due to the volume of applications.

To be eligible for the Summer Student Program, you must meet one of the following criteria:

• Attending school on a full-time basis, and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic semester;
• Attending full-time academic studies and will graduate in the current academic year; or
• Have recently graduated from full-time studies within the last year.

The number of positions listed is an estimate based on previous years and may change based on operational needs. Students are encouraged to apply to all student employment streams that align with their field of study, skills, and interests.
