Second Class Power Engineer at SaskPower

Sask Power Estevan is looking for a Second Class Power Engineer to operate and maintain critical systems such as turbines and boilers. This position is safety-sensitive and pivotal for plant efficiency.

As a Second Class Power Engineer, you will ensure that all equipment meets operational readiness while performing inspections and overseeing maintenance activities. Your ability to monitor system parameters will help maintain safety standards and optimize performance. Additionally, you will share your expertise with team members, enhancing their operational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and supervise plant turbines and generators

• Troubleshoot and maintain emissions control equipment

• Monitor various operational parameters

• Compile work logs and maintain maintenance records

• Provide technical assistance to plant teams

Requirements:

• Second Class Power Engineer’s Certificate required

• Class 5 driver’s license essential

• Ability to handle high-pressure decisions

• Physical capability to perform job functions

• Strong communication and team interaction skills
