Caretaker Role at Hillcrest School

Become a vital team member at Hillcrest School in Estevan, SK as a temporary Caretaker.

This role offers hands-on experience in cleaning and maintenance with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

The position begins as soon as possible and runs until October 24, 2026, with a chance for extension. Applicants should ideally have Grade 12 education or equivalent, alongside a valid Driver's License. Skills in cleaning procedures, general maintenance, and equipment operation are preferred to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of school facilities

• Operate tractors and mowers for groundskeeping

• Understand and implement effective cleaning processes

• Ensure compliance with safety and health standards

• Communicate effectively with staff and students

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10 education;
Grade 12 preferred

• Valid Driver’s License is necessary

• Experience in caretaking is an asset

• General mechanical knowledge required

• Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check needed
