District Manager - Oilfield Cementing

As a key member of the Operations Management Team, the District Manager will report directly to the Area Manager – Operations and will be based out of our Estevan district office. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing district operations by assigning personnel and equipment in delivering successful execution of the day-to-day operations while ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of services while meeting client expectations and operational objectives.

• Participate as a key member of the Operational team by contributing to operational decision-making and long-range planning activities to support the district and organizational objectives
• Direct and coordinate the overall activities of a District in accordance with policies established by Senior Leadership.
• Overall District Responsibly for:
  Personnel, Inventory, Financials and Execution
• Communicate effectively with Senior Leadership, Clients and District Employees in the planning, coordination, and execution of our services
• Lead the weekly Safety Meetings, as well as promoting safe work practices and higher standards of performance; be readily available to support and respond to all incidents, emergencies, or severe situations
• Ensure the timely investigation, resolution, communication and closure of all safety incidents and employee concerns within the District
• Act as the final authority for District hiring decisions, ensuring workforce needs are met through effective and consistent recruitment practices
• Responsible for the completion of the Career Development Plan processes for the District as defined to ensure that essential career-related discussions are taking place to meet the expectations of our employees and business
• Responsible for the review, approval, and submission of all promotion requests for District employees
• Direct the organization and facilitation of ALL defined training requirements for personnel assigned to the District
• Ensure that all required reporting has been completed within the proper and associated business platform and communicated appropriately to Operations, Safety, Quality, Compliance, Finance, HR, IT, etc.
• Develop and maintain client relationships while identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow district revenue and market share
• Support the Sales team in visiting client sites and communicating feedback/opportunities to the Sales department
• Oversee the effective utilization, maintenance and regulatory compliance of the equipment to maximize operational efficiencies

• 5-10 years of direct Oilfield Cementing experience is strongly preferred; similar service line experience could be considered (pressure pumping, drilling etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in an Operations Manager, District Manager, Superintendent, or similar role with responsibility for personnel, equipment, and operational execution
• Proven ability to lead district-level operations, establish clear performance expectations, and develop accountable, high-performing teams in a safety-sensitive environment
• Ability to solve special oil well drilling and production problems
• Experience managing teams with solid knowledge of budgets and planning responsibilities
• Working knowledge of internal Support Functions such as Financial, HR, IT, Safety, Quality, Compliance in addition to administrative responsibilities
