Job descriptionUnder the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Registered Nurse (AAP) will be responsible for providing nursing services including the diagnoses and treatment of common medical disorders according to the Clinical Decision Tools and in conjunction with their clinical knowledge and judgment, in compliance with the RN with Additional Authorized Practice (RN AAP) Practice Standards within the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
The RN (AAP) will support underserved populations within an urban setting providing care to clients in clinical and outreach locations. the RN (AAP) will support case management, navigation, assessment, triage of clients presenting, treatment of the presenting concern or connection and referral to an appropriate health care provider.

Licenses- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Certificate (CTAS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience is required
- Ability to promote effective relationships within the SHA and the community.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the limited common medical disorders according to CDTs
- Demonstrate communication skills to create positive outcomes/build relationships
- Demonstrated independent nursing judgment in a community-based environment
- Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- Completed an application for authorized practice.
- Completion of recognized nursing education course or a prior learning assessment
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work.
- Registered/Eligible for registration with CRNS as an RN(AAP)
