Position: SWIS Coordinator for Newcomer Families
Support newcomer youth in Estevan as a Settlement Workers In School Coordinator at Southeast Advocates Inc. This role emphasizes community connection and intercultural competence to aid students and families.

Southeast Advocates Inc. (SEA) is looking for a SWIS Coordinator to deliver vital school-based and community settlement services.

Your role includes conducting needs assessments, providing orientation for newcomer families, and facilitating key community programs. You will engage with school staff on intercultural competence and report on program effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs and assets assessments for settlement plans

• Provide orientation sessions for new families and students

• Facilitate community connection and programming activities

• Engage school staff on anti-racism and cultural awareness

• Contribute to quarterly reports and funder communications

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in social work or related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems

• Experience managing diverse caseloads independently

• Valid SK Class 5 license with vehicle access

• Criminal record check in vulnerable sector required
