Hire Art is helping our client find a Body Shop Service Technician to support and maintain its cutting-edge fleet of autonomous electric vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced team that values precision, accountability, and proactive care.
In this role, you'll apply your automotive skills in a fast-growing industry at the forefront of mobility technology. From routine services to emergency response, your work will directly impact the safety and performance of the company's fleet operations. You’ll ensure vehicles are road-ready through routine maintenance, light repairs, and field support.
We’re looking for experienced automotive technicians who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical backgrounds, experience with electric vehicles, and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Shift Options1st Shift: Mon - Fri, 7AM-3PM2nd Shift: Mon - Fri, 2PM-10PMWeekends:
Sat & Sun: 10AM-10PMAs a Body Shop Service Technician, you'll:Assess and document vehicle damage after road incidents.Perform minor on-site repairs and coordinate major repairs with partner service centers.Conduct regular scheduled maintenance and inspections (e.g., brakes, fluids, AC, tires, etc.).Monitor vehicle condition and report potential issues before they become problems.Support field operations by overseeing car evacuations and towing after incidents.Keep the fleet operational and road-ready by transporting vehicles for service appointments, repairs, and car washes.Maintain fleet and shop cleanliness, readiness, and compliance with safety standards.Perform light-to-moderate automotive body work, including panel alignment, trim/bumper repair or replacement, exterior component installation, cosmetic repairs, and documenting body-related damage, to support vehicle safety, appearance, and readiness.Requirements
Prior experience as an automotive technician or in a similar mechanical roleStrong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and EV fundamentalsExperience with automotive body repair, panel fitting, or exterior component installationClean driving record and valid Texas driver’s licenseAbility to work independently and handle fast-changing prioritiesDetail-oriented and committed to safety and qualityComfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technologyPrior experience as an EV technician is highly preferredExperience with ADAS vehicles preferredBenefits:Pre-tax commuter benefitsEmployer (Hire Art) subsidized Healthcare BenefitsFlexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costsHire Art covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance401k packageCommitment: This is an ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art.
