Intervenor for Deafblind Support

Join Sensity as an Intervenor in Etobicoke, ON, focusing on supporting individuals who are deafblind. This part-time role includes communication assistance and daily living support.

Sensity is looking for a compassionate Intervenor to work part-time, 20-24 hours a week. You will facilitate communication and help clients enhance their independence across different settings. Essential qualifications include experience with dual sensory impairment assistance and the ability to carry out personal care tasks, with comprehensive training offered to advance your skills and career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Empower individuals to engage in daily activities

• Communicate effectively using various techniques

• Provide personal care and support as needed

• Assist with goal-setting for individuals supported

• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities

Requirements:

• Completion of specific college diploma or certificate

• Background in developmental disabilities or related fields

• Experience communicating in ASL or SEE

• Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
