Activity Aide

Position: Activity Aide Role
Contribute to the well-being of seniors as a Full Time Activity Aide at Age Care Westbury, located in Etobicoke, Ontario. Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote joy and connection.

In this role, you will work collaboratively to plan, develop, and implement recreation and leisure activities that enhance life quality for residents. Your focus on creating a supportive community environment will help residents thrive as they maintain their skills and build friendships. Participate in assessment processes and collaborate with the care team for personalized support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging recreational activities for residents

• Foster a supportive atmosphere for resident engagement

• Communicate effectively with residents and families

• Report changes in residents’ participation abilities

• Support quality improvement in recreation programming

Requirements:

• Experience in long-term care preferred

• Degree or diploma in recreation studies

• Proficiency in therapeutic recreation techniques

• Knowledge of wellness principles in activities

• Commitment to fostering resident connections
