Building Maintenance Operator

Step into a critical role as a Building Operator at the Etobicoke General Hospital with Equans, focusing on maintenance and safety management.

This position is essential for the maintenance of building operations, requiring a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Building Operator will not only perform routine maintenance but also respond to urgent demands effectively. This role’s shift work ensures a 24/7 operational capacity in the facility, making flexibility and dedication key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all preventative maintenance tasks on equipment

• Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems

• Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures

• Communicate effectively with staff and contractors

• Maintain documentation of all services in CMMS

Requirements:

• College Diploma or equivalent experience

• Building Environmental Systems Class I & II Certification

• Solid experience with mechanical systems

• Proficient in computerized maintenance programs

• Must pass required security screenings
