Pay Rate: Monday to Friday, 8: – 5:

Our client is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor / Cleaner to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and supporting general office cleaning duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working in both warehouse and office environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a floor scrubber in the warehouse.
  • Sweep and clean warehouse floors, including around racking and storage areas.
  • Empty garbage and recycling bins throughout the facility.
  • If forklift certified, transport and empty waste bins into outdoor disposal containers as needed.
  • Maintain kitchen areas by:
    Loading the dishwasher every evening. Cleaning microwaves daily. Cleaning refrigerators every Friday.
  • Assist with outdoor yard cleanup, including:
    Breaking down and disposing of wooden skids. Collecting loose nails using a magnetic collection tool. Working alongside the forklift operator and assisting with additional cleanup tasks when required.
  • Perform other general cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace at all times.

    • Qualifications

  • Previous janitorial, warehouse cleaning, or general maintenance experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Forklift certification is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Full-time, steady day shift.
