, on behalf of our valued client, is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Brake Press Operator to join a leading manufacturing team. This is a key opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional to contribute to the precision and quality of high-performance metal components in a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Position Overview
The CNC Brake Press Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machinery to fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, the ability to interpret blueprints, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal components accurately
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine correct bending sequences and tool setups
- Select and install appropriate tooling based on job requirements
- Perform quality inspections on finished components using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve production issues and improve workflow
- Assist in other fabrication tasks using equipment such as milling machines, lathes, welders, and power tools as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC brake press machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using fabrication tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with Mazatrol programming preferred; experience with Fanuc controls is considered an asset
- Forklift experience is an advantage for material handling
- Additional skills in welding or general fabrication techniques are highly desirable
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
