Responsibilities Independently perform aerospace grade cable and wire harnesses assembly tasks in a static controlled and FOD free environment.
Work from approved drawings and assembly instructions with strict adherence to quality and environmental standards. Follow company safety and quality procedures.
Follow IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards with focus on precision and safety.
Maintain clean and organized work areas into higher level functional assemblies ensuring each step meets the defined quality specifications.
Use various tools such as microscopes, crimp tools, and soldering iron; cut, strip, crimp, solder, and route wires and cables.
Perform basic visual inspection of completed assemblies, electrical continuity tests using multi-meters, etc.
Education High School Diploma
Experience 1-3 years electrical circuit card assembly experience
Experience in reading detailed electronic assembly drawings
Hands-on experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 covering high performance aerospace Cable and Harness Assemblies
Working in a clean, FOD free and static free environment
Aerospace and defense equipment assembly experience
Skills Excellent hand/eye coordination
Must have ability to work with small tools and under a microscope for an 8 hour shift
Able to work effectively in a diverse team setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Other Canadian citizenship or holder of Canadian government authorization to work in Canada with the ability and willingness to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods clearance from the relevant Federal agency.
