THE JOB
Artist management firm seeking a dynamic candidate to support our marketing team in the planning, creative development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives during album and tour cycles. Digital Marketing Coordinators build off the creative vision and strategic goals for the project, by drafting and managing social media calendars, executing posts, assisting with building out digital activations and producing creative assets.
The position sits within the cross-functional digital marketing team and reports to the Toronto Marketing Manager.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Manage day-to-day social media operations for an assigned roster of 15+ clients, including content calendar management and post execution on platforms that include but are not limited to Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, XWork to fully understand the strategic plan for an album/tour. Develop and plan social media posts that achieve marketing goals and encourage fan engagement.Responsible for deeply understanding a client’s voice and vision, ensuring consistency across digital platformsAnalyze social media performance metrics and research trends to inform posting plansCoordinate with internal creative team and external partners for content creation and campaign executionMaintain regular communication with artists, artist managers and be adaptable to various working stylesEnsure all creative assets are optimized for each social media platformWHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Previous hands on experience posting on social media for artists, bands, brands or other entities with large followingsStrong written communication skills with attention to detailWhile office hours are from 10a-6p ET, this role requires the ability to work flexible hours including some evenings/weekends as needed for artist requestsTeam player mentality with ability to adapt to changing prioritiesUnderstanding of the importance of UGC content and how to use artist channels to encourage new UGC createsUnderstanding of how to build & maintain engaged online communitiesWide breadth of knowledge about best practices for social platforms (with emphasis on short form channels)Aptitude to think creatively, outside the box and to tie different promotional elements of a marketing campaign together.Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple priorities simultaneously.Ability to accept constructive feedback and revision requests; providing creative solutions that meet expectations.Tech savvy command of project management software (Monday/Asana), business software (Microsoft Office suite) and cloud-based software (Google Docs/Drive, Dropbox, Box, Zoom, Notion etc.)Ability to quickly edit short form video via Tik Tok/Instagram’s in-app tools as well as editing apps like Cap CutProficiency with Adobe Photoshop to create simple one sheets, or edit layouts from a .psd fileInclusive, flexible, focused, diplomatic, calm and collected can-do attitude in a fast-paced environmentDemonstration of discretion in handling confidential data and dealing with high-level artists and industry executivesExperience in music industry preferredPhysical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
