Casual Registered Practical Nurse

Join Southbridge Care Homes as a Casual Registered Practical Nurse at Westside Long-Term Care in Etobicoke, Ontario. This role features mixed shifts, emphasizing nursing standards and exemplary resident care.

As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you will report to the Director of Care, enhancing quality nursing practices in accordance with Ontario standards. Your responsibilities include assessing residents, developing care plans, and monitoring health. You'll also lead nursing staff, ensuring high care quality in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide resident care respecting established nursing principles

• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

• Organize restorative and palliative care functions

• Supervise and evaluate nursing and personal care staff

• Train new personnel and monitor their performance

Requirements:

• Current certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario

• Knowledge of Infection Control Practices

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Negative vulnerable sector check and recent TB test needed
