Are you passionate about Safety & Security and seeking an opportunity to join ASP’s Commercial Security Team?

We provide services including security, customer service, K9 detection, concierge, and baggage handling to a wide range of clients such as residential properties, commercial facilities, retail spaces, as well as some of the largest airports in Canada.
ASP is looking for Security Guards for a major transportation organization in multiple GTA locations on a 24/7 basis. Candidates must possess previous security experience and be able to provide highly visible service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner, whilst exercising excellent communication and customer service skills. Working with integrity and awareness, the Security Guard takes responsibility for securing and protecting our clients, their guests and vendors, and the property itself.
What you will do:
Provide protection from theft, vandalism, and trespassingConduct locks and unlocks of doors, gates, and fencesOffice support such as reception tasks, receiving mail and packages, and answering phone callsVia CCTV and the Access Control System, monitor the propertiesEnsure all persons entering the facilities sign the visitor’s log on arrival and departureEngage in professional, collaborative, and proactive security servicesFoot patrols on site on an ongoing hourly basisFor rail facilities only, vehicle patrols on an hourly basisPrevention of loitering and solicitingInvestigate, report, and respond to any incidents and alarms as requiredAssist in emergency situations such as evacuations and medical incidentsEnsure all site equipment is secureWork in compliance with OHSA, AODA, CCC, and PSISA regulations, etcBe responsible for keys and other equipment such as cellphones and radiosCustomer service and collaboration with visitors, staff, contractors, and other personnelAssist in emergency situations such as evacuations and medical incidentsEscalation to emergency services when necessarySubmission of daily reports and incident reportsPerform other relevant functions as requiredAbilities & Working Conditions
Weather Resilience: Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions — including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow
.Physical Stamina: Requires prolonged walking across uneven ground, standing, bending, and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.Alertness & Responsiveness: Able to maintain focus, situational awareness, and act swiftly in emergency scenarios. Must remain alert around moving trains, heavy machinery, and noise-intensive environments.Protective Gear: Will be required to wear weather-appropriate uniforms and PPE (raincoats, thermal layers, hard hat, safety shoes, weather-rated gear etc.).Flexible Scheduling: Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by event schedulesWho you are:
Must be 18 years of age or olderMinimum of 1 year of prior security experience, transportation or industrial sites preferredEligible to work in CanadaAbility to work in both indoors and outdoor environments, think critically, perform safely, and work with a teamMust possess an Ontario Security Guard LicenseMust possess valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification (Standard Level
C)Must possess valid G driver’s license with zero demerit points (rail facilities only)Strong written and verbal communication, including radio useAbility to work 40 hours per week is mandatory for full-time staff, inclusive of holidays and weekendsAvailability of two days per week is mandatory for casual staffAble to walk extended distances, including stairs, in all weather conditions
