Do you have what it takes?

As an AZ Driver, you’ll be responsible for short-haul, local, and regional deliveries of steel to customers across Ontario. You’ll operate manual-transmission straight and semi trucks on a flatbed to transport rebar and structural steel safely and efficiently.

Core Duties

Operate and drive manual-transmission straight and semi trucks to transport goods and materials

Haul structural and reinforcing steel on flatbed trailers

Secure, tarp, and ensure the safety and stability of all cargo

Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and load securement

Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, reporting any issues promptly

Complete and maintain accurate driver logbooks, inspection reports, and accident/incident reports

Valid AZ License /Air brake (Z) endorsement

Experience operating manual-transmission trucks, preferably with flatbed and steel hauling

Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate

Air Brake Adjustment Certificate

Criminal record check, driving record check, medical exam, drug test

Sound knowledge of safe driving practices

Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset

Previous experience in machine operation is preferred

Wage: $30.25/hr
