Position SummaryThis Manufacturing Process Engineer will evaluate & develop methods to improve efficiency, maximize output, and minimize scrap while maintaining product quality and a safe work environment. This position focuses primarily on the production floor who is very team-focused, implements streamlined processes, and is very product-oriented to produce results. This person will also be using Solidworks Cad software frequently for plant layout and tooling.
This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to ensure operations are capable of producing at the expected level of product quality & volume of productivity. Will Recommend changes, as needed.
- Ensure new equipment and associated processes are operating as intended after machine installation and process implementation.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing departments on the design, development and validation of new manufacturing processes.
- Encourage efficient use of floor space in collaboration with the Manufacturing department when laying out work cells.
- Conduct PFMEAs, as needed, to address high risk and/or recurring manufacturing issues.
- Communicate with Engineering and Production to coordinate efforts to resolve equipment or process issues that delay or halt production progress.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field required
- 3-10 year's experience in similar role
