CNC Programmer
Job DescriptionThis position offers an exciting opportunity to support a large, globally recognized company on a 6‑month contract. You will be responsible for programming Mazak vertical mills using Mastercam, creating and updating manufacturing drawings, and converting legacy programs into modern versions. You will work closely with machinists and engineers to ensure that programs and drawings align with real‑world machining needs.
Responsibilities- Program Mazak vertical mills using Mastercam based on 3D models.
- Create or update manufacturing drawings using 2D and 3D CAD tools.
- Convert legacy Mastercam programs into modern, editable versions.
- Prepare programs ahead of machine installation to ensure immediate production.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers for accurate program and drawing alignment.
- Support machining areas for aluminum housings and steel shafts.
- Generate 2D drawings from 3D models and maintain documentation for revisions.
- Expertise in CNC programming and Mastercam.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as CATIA, Solid Works, or Creo.
- Ability to create programs from scratch.
- 5+ years of programming experience (10+ years preferred).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a hybrid programmer/machinist.
- Comfortable collaborating in a union shop environment.
- Strong communication skills for working with machinists and engineers.
This role involves predominantly offline programming at a computer in preparation for new CNC equipment. Once programming is complete, the position will transition to overseeing machining processes on the manufacturing floor. The environment requires collaboration and attention to detail to ensure the success of the machining operations.
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Euclid, OH.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
