AboutThe Role
The PRN Medical Assistant is a key component of our care team, working closely with primary care physicians to deliver excellent patient care and exceptional guest experience. The role combines medical receptionist duties with clinical responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
- Review medical history and gather updated health information from patients.
- Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
- Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider order.
- Partner with care team members to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
- Perform front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, documentation, referral coordination, check‑in, check‑out, etc.
- Record accurate data in the medical record per documentation guidelines.
- Process test results and provide patients with timely results via e‑message, mail, or phone as directed.
- Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
- Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
- National or state‑specific MA certification or registration preferred; required in states where it is mandated.
- CPR/BLS certification at start date.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
