Whirlpool Corporation is looking for a talented Manager of Protective Services. This role demands a leader capable of strategic thought and effective execution. Positioned within the Global Corporate Security organization, this role reports directly to the Chief Security Officer (CSO), aligned under the General Counsel.

Our team is lean, comprising both insourced and outsourced talent, and leverages cross-functional partners for certain service deliveries.
We require your expertise to strategize, manage, and execute programs aligned with one of our core pillars:
Personnel Security. This is a critical role, interacting frequently with the company’s highest-level executives; it requires influence, leadership, team building, and daily management of contract staff/services. The role incorporates development opportunities as the Global Corporate Security organization evolves over time.
As the Manager of Protective Services, you will lead and evolve our global protective and personnel security programs. The role requires extensive experience in executive protection, threat management, and protective intelligence. You will build and develop a high-performing team of insourced and outsourced talent, oversee protective services at our Global Headquarters (GHQ) and Corporate Campus, and create global Executive Protection policies and procedures.
You will partner with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to create cross-functional processes in support of local emergency response, global protective intelligence, and a developing travel security and duty of care program. You will collaborate closely across functions, regional security leadership, and executive administrative staff. You will carry a firearm daily. Travel, including internationally, will likely be less than 25% of the time, typically with advance notice.
You will attend industry functions to stay abreast of evolving best practices.
This role is a 5-day, Monday through Friday, in-office role located at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan. A comprehensive relocation package is available for eligible candidates. #LI-DD1
Your responsibilities will includeStrategic Leadership: Develop, direct, implement, and continuously improve the organization's protective services, threat management, and corporate campus security programs. Build high-performing teams. Align all efforts with Whirlpool’s risk posture, culture, and business objectives. Create business cases for resource additions and manage a portion of the Global Corporate Security budget.
Threat Management: Develop and implement processes to manage executive threat cases throughout their entire lifecycle, including intake, assessment, mitigation, and ongoing monitoring of persons of concern. Partner with colleagues in HR, Customer Service, Communications, Information Security, and other departments. Obtain a Certified Threat Manager (CTM) certificate from the Association of Threat Management Professionals (ATAP). Brief senior leadership on high-risk threats.
