The CNC Machinist for 2nd Shift applies knowledge of mechanics, shop math, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to set up and operate various computer numerical control machine tools to produce precision parts.

Positions are available on 1st & 2nd shifts; all training will be conducted on 1st shift for at least 90 days.

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using math and instruments such as micrometers, vernier, and gauges.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
  • Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for machine work preparation.
  • Modify cutting programs to address operational issues and save changes.
  • Enter commands to store or retrieve part programs, graphics, or transfer data.
  • Inspect completed units for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
  • Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications.
  • Start, run, monitor machines, and record operational data.
  • Adjust machine speeds and actions according to product specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, working environment.
  • Support other shop areas as needed.
  • Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing.
    • Organizational skills to ensure efficient operations.
    • Clear communication skills.
    • Ability to read and use quality control tools.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Understanding of lean principles and 6S safety practices.
    • Basic computer skills.
