The Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences is one of three academic departments in the College of Education (COE). It is comprised of four major programs:
Applied Behavior and Analysis (ABA), Communication Disorders and Sciences (CDS), School Psychology (SPSY), and Special Education (SPED). The Department offers degrees from undergraduate to master's and doctoral, as well as licensure and endorsement programs. The Special Education and Clinical Sciences Department is involved in collaborative efforts among all COE departments and institutes to support research across the College, outreach activities, and core requirements for the master0s and doctoral programs.

Position

Summary

The University of Oregon’s Special Education and Clinical Sciences (SPECS) Department in the College of Education seeks to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill periodic instructional vacancies for temporary teaching assignments. The department anticipates hiring instructors for undergraduate or lecturers for graduate-level courses in the following content areas: instruction and assessment; behavior management; transition; educational and psychological foundations; methods of teaching (elementary and secondary);

child and adolescent studies; multicultural education; special education law, behavior assessment, educational assessment, intellectual assessment, academic and behavioral interventions, school-based consultation, developmental psychopathology, child and family interventions, principles and practices in school psychology, school-based practicum or other school psychology, research and education-related areas. Courses may be offered in Special Education or School Psychology programs within the department.
