The Geography Department is an instructional department within the College of Arts and Sciences, which supports significant research activities in various types of geographic study. The Department of Geography has 27 Faculty, 125+ undergraduate majors, and 40+ graduate students. Research and graduate education in the Department of Geography focuses on the following subfields:
Quaternary studies, biogeography, climatology and climatic change, geomorphology;
The Department of Geography is seeking to create a pool of applicants for its open instructor pool. Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance.
Teaching positions will work under the supervision of the Geography Department Head.
We seek applicants with a teaching background in Human Geography for both undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
• MA/MS required by start of position.
Professional Competencies• Successful candidates will have professional experience, demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching, and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

• Ph.D. in related field.
• Teaching experience in Human Geography, Physical Geography, or GIScience.
