Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and driven Part‑Time Occupational Therapist to deliver high‑quality in‑house therapy services to adults with a range of diagnoses and disabilities, with a special focus on supporting aging in place. In this role, you will directly influence residents' quality of life by providing person‑centered interventions that promote mobility, independence, and overall well‑being.
Primary Responsibilities- Conduct screenings of new community residents and those referred by nursing to determine the need for intervention
- Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment, planning, and implementation
- Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to residents, family, and other team members
- Record treatment times and documentation by following federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- Demonstrate capacity to understand insurance reimbursement and billing while coordinating care
- Provide treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards while adapting treatment for individual needs
- Monitor resident response to intervention, modifying treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders
- Recommend and educate residents, family, and community staff in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Consistently demonstrate sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow‑up of resident therapy programs including excellent communication with community staff
- Maintain safety standards including compliance with infection control, universal precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program – Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Current state licensure
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Results‑oriented with strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
