Patient Registration Specialist (Healthcare)

The Registration Team is responsible for welcoming patients at the Slocum Center. It is a fast paced, multi tasking team where there is never a dull moment. It is an excellent place to learn about the operations of healthcare offices in a short amount of time.

Teamwork and good computer skills are a necessity for the position. Additionally, there are certain positions that require team members to be on their feet for extended periods of time, where they may be walking in the registration area to accompany patients to a registration desk.

The hours of the Registration department are from 6 am - 6 pm and a weekly schedule is made allocating 8-10 hour shifts to each member of the team during that time frame. We are open Monday - Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday.

Basic tasks of a Patient Registration Specialist include:

• Greeting and assisting patients.
• Collecting and updating patient information.
• Using our electronic health record.
• Interacting with other departments.
• Collecting copayments.
