This is an opportunity to use your nutrition expertise to improve health outcomes for pregnant and postpartum individuals, infants, and young children while helping families build healthy habits that last a lifetime.

As a WIC Nutritionist/Dietitian, you'll provide individualized nutrition assessments, counseling, and education to families with diverse needs and backgrounds. You'll also support breastfeeding and infant feeding practices, collaborate with healthcare and community partners, and connect families with resources that promote long-term health and wellness.

What You'll Do
  • Provide individualized nutrition assessments, counseling, and education to WIC participants.
  • Support families with prenatal, postpartum, infant, and child nutrition needs.
  • Promote breastfeeding and healthy infant feeding practices.
  • Develop nutrition care plans and provide follow-up support for participants with complex nutritional needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to coordinate services and connect families with resources.
  • Help create a welcoming, supportive environment where families feel respected and empowered.
Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a nutrition professional who brings strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to community health. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, working with diverse populations, and translating nutrition science into practical guidance that meets families where they are.

Experience in maternal and child health, community nutrition, breastfeeding support, or public health is especially valuable.

Why Lane County?

At Lane County WIC, your work goes beyond nutrition counseling. You'll be part of a collaborative public health team dedicated to reducing barriers to care, supporting healthy families, and making a lasting impact in our community.
