Optimization Field Service Technician

• Install, service, and upgrade optimization scanning systems for sawmills, planermills, plywood, and OSB equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on electronic and software-based systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Work directly with customers, engineers, and project managers to understand and resolve equipment or system concerns.
• Conduct regular site visits to maintain and enhance system performance.
• Ensure all equipment meets quality and safety standards.
• Provide remote support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain detailed service documentation and reports.
• Work irregular hours and overtime as required.

• Diploma, degree, or trade qualification in electronics, software, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic systems; familiarity with industrial equipment in wood processing is a plus.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, TCP/IP networking, and hardware/software applications.
• Machine vision, AI, x-ray, or PLC knowledge preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout North America and internationally.
• Must be able to cross international borders without restrictions.

• Position range of pay: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour.
