Information Services (IS) is the central information technology unit at the University of Oregon and provides wide ranging services to campus. Information Services consists of four major functional areas:
Customer Experience, which serves as the key contact point for interactions with campus clients and customers;
Applications & Middleware, which manages and supports applications, integration services, identity management and data management;
Information Security, which helps protect virtual or physical information; and Technology Infrastructure, which provides administration and support for the software, hardware, and services needed to support the campus IT environment. Information Services also includes the Advanced Network Technology Center. IS works closely with the Network for Education and Research in Oregon.

The University of Oregon's Information Services division seeks an experienced AI focused Application Developer to lead the integration and implementation of AI-powered solutions across campus using existing AI models and services. This role will focus on leveraging AI platforms to rapidly develop and deploy AI applications that enhance university operations and student services.

Reporting to the Associate CIO of Customer Experience (CX) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the AI Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership on the development of AI Solutions; new and improved campus AI IT services; innovative approaches to solving research, curricular, and instructional needs; and efficiencies to streamline operations and create capacity for higher value work. This position is focused on solving complex challenges that require innovation, creativity, and a strong technical foundation to design and deliver technical solutions  AI Solutions Architect possesses the authority to carry out management decisions and is seen as a lead individual contributor requiring specialized education and experience.

This position makes and informs decisions at a high level which has university-wide implications and impact.
