• The primary function of this position is to work in a team environment to build inventory of finished fertilizer products through operation of various bulk materials handling and packaging equipment.
• Maintain Warehouse and Fertilizer Production Area Cleanliness: maintain a clean workspace and help keep the entire warehouse clean; ensure work areas are clean at the end of each workday to minimize dust.
• Inventory Duty: participate in inventory control processes and help maintain accuracy of bulk goods and finished goods daily; assist with annual warehouse inventory tasks with time-off scheduled around the event.
• Truck/Container Unloading: assist loading and unloading trucks/containers as needed.

• Safety First: uphold a safe and healthy work environment; participate in required safety training; report safety issues to supervisor or Safety Coordinator.
• Communication and Interpretive
  
  Skills:
  
  use clear communication to ensure accurate execution of production scheduling and inventory control; follow instructions for production outputs.
• Physical Job: lift, move, and stack boxes and bags up to 50 pounds; repeatedly bend, stoop and lift; stand and walk for the entire shift.

• Environment: works inside and occasionally outside; warehouse is not heated or air-conditioned; dress accordingly; clothing may become soiled.
• Operating Equipment: some operation of manual hand trucks, hydraulic pallet jacks, and forklifts; training provided on required material-handling machinery.

• Work Schedule:
  
  generally M-F starting at 5:00 AM; 8-hour day with 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks; overtime, including weekends and evenings, may be required during busy periods.
• General Attitude: must be a team player with a positive, upbeat attitude; support company policies and take pride in work; willingness to contribute beyond the outlined duties.

• Required Skills, Licenses or Certificates: use of company-provided respirators; respirator clearance required; basic math, reading, writing, and English speaking skills; ability to understand written instructions and verify quantities; ability to work well in a team; possess knowledge of the Down To Earth fertilizer product line.
• Working Conditions
  
  Note:
  
  position is physical with good physical condition required; ability to stand and move throughout shift; capability to bend and lift boxes; experience with stacking 25- and 50-pound bags; operation of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts may be required; training provided.

  works both indoors and outdoors as needed; warehouse environment; dress appropriately; expect dusty and soiled conditions.
