Pay: $24.20 / hour

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Friday: 4:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Green Chain Puller for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable lumber mill that supplies high-quality Doug Fir dimensional lumber located in Eugene, Oregon.

The Green Chain Puller will play an essential role in the hands on processing of dimensional lumber. The ideal candidate will maintain an organized and safe environment while actively contributing to the efficient processing of lumber products.

• Pulling Lumber off conveyor belt
• Sorting Lumber and / or Clear Chain
• Ensuring that all lumber is pulled into its designated load according to:
  • Size
  • Length
  • Lumber Grade
• Stacking all units to correct height and width
• Making sure that Stickers are properly located
• Making sure that the re-saw and trim is properly stacked into stable units

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. continually
• This is a Very physical job, body conditioning will be necessary!
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Punctuality and Good Attendance
• Understanding the fundamentals of saw milling
• Work to promote a supportive, teamwork environment
• Ability to work effectively with little supervision
• Willingness to fill-in on off-shift IF / WHEN required
