Senior​/Solo Pastor

City Church Eugene (CCE) is seeking a Senior/Solo pastor, preferably with a divinity degree from a reformed theological seminary, aligned with PCA theology and polity.

We aim to fill this role with a minister gifted in preaching the Word of God and applying the Gospel to our congregation's lives.

The pastor will oversee Sunday worship, administer the sacraments properly, and lead revitalization efforts in a post-Christian community. Responsibilities include working with the Session to establish vision and priorities, delegating administrative tasks, managing resources, and organizing educational opportunities for adults and children.

We desire a pastor who loves and leads his congregation, equips them with biblical knowledge, and fosters personal connections through individual and small group meetings. Fundraising skills are a bonus; current compensation will depend on our congregation's size, and outside funding is encouraged.

Who we are:

CCE believes that through preaching the Gospel, the Spirit saves the lost, shapes believers to live like Jesus, and transforms them into a loving community.

After losing our senior pastor and navigating COVID, we relocated to a neighborhood church with basic facilities. We have a core group of congregants and seek pastoral leadership for revitalization.

We value accessible, Christ-centered preaching. Our services include children's lessons and lively participation. Though PCA does not ordain women as Deacons, we recognize their contributions in worship and small groups. We support existing ministries and aim to expand them.

The pastor must understand biblical standards on cultural issues, engage compassionately, and trust in God's Word to reach and transform our community without dilution or compromise.
