Assistant Manager

We are seeking a talented Tax Credit Assistant Manager to support our community management teams and ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations.

Position Overview:

The Tax Credit Assistant Manager assists the Community Manager by overseeing the financial and operational aspects of tax credit properties. This role requires understanding of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills to maximize resident satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in leasing, audit, and file management for tax credit properties
• Process new resident certifications, annual recertifications, and interim certifications
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations (including LIHTC reporting)
• Collect rent payments, oversee application and deposit processes, and resolve resident inquiries
• Maintain accurate records and update resident files within property management software
• Support outreach efforts and develop resident retention programs
• Communicate with legal counsel and government agencies regarding compliance and resident concerns
• Contribute to ongoing professional appearance and a positive work culture

Required Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of experience in property management or affordable housing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and attention to detail abilities
• Professional demeanor and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Basic proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with LIHTC, Section 8 or other affordable housing programs
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) credential
• Familiarity with state and federal housing compliance requirements

Compensation: Full-Time $ 20.00 to $ 21.00 per hour
