The Postdoctoral Scholar will perform research and technical activities on sponsored projects in Dr. Ong’s lab. Responsibilities include conducting research related to inductive-capacitive sensors used to monitor suture tension during and after orthopedic surgeries, and magnetoelastic sensors for cell and tissue monitoring. The role includes data analysis, reporting findings verbally and in writing, mentoring junior trainees, and managing, maintaining, and providing technical expertise for lab equipment, protocols, and programs.

• PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Human Physiology, Immunology, or other relevant fields

• Effective communication skills
• Organization and time management skills

• Experience in wireless sensor technologies such as RFID sensors, inductive-capacitive resonance sensors, or magnetoelastic sensors
• Experience in wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth Low Energy
• Experience in electronic circuit design and fabrication and embedded programming
• Experience in cell and tissue culture experiments
• Experience in experiments with animal or human models
