Retail Sales Associate Part-Time FLEX

The purpose of this position is to act as the face of Down To Earth, offering an enriching shopping experience for our customer base, providing top-notch customer service, and facilitating sales through customer education and product expertise. This position will also be responsible for inventory levels on the sales floor, keeping displays stocked and presentable, observing for shoplifting, and maintaining the cleanliness of the merchandise we sell.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for administrative duties, including cashiering and answering phones.

• Sales & Customer Service:
  Greet every customer with a warm welcoming smile, facilitate sales, and provide top-notch customer service.
• Working as part of a team to educate customers about products and their intended use.
• Answering customer questions or directing them to the appropriate employee.
• Cashiering and answering phones.
• Inventory Control:
  Stocking product, maintaining displays, pricing and merchandising product, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of merchandise.
• Observing for shoplifting and bi-annual inventory duty.
• Additional Duties:
  Communicating and interacting with staff, customers, and vendors in a productive and respectful manner.
• Moving or transporting 50 lbs, working in any department as directed, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Required Skills, Qualifications, and
  
  Experience:
  
  Previous retail experience, High School Degree or equivalent, problem-solving ability, basic math skills, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Physical
  
  Skills and Abilities:
  
  Standing and mobile for extended periods, ordinary ambulatory skills, and good hand-eye coordination.
• Equipment and Tools:
  Retail Pro inventory and point of sale software, Outlook, multi-line phone, and copy machine.
