Position OverviewThis position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of rock crushing equipment used to process rock into various sizes for construction and other applications. This role includes operating and maintaining rock crushing equipment to ensure optimal performance, as well as running heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, and dozers to support the rock crushing operation. This position travels with our portable rock crushing plant(s), which are typically stationed in the Creswell, Salem, Silverton, Roseburg, or Central Oregon areas.
In addition to overseeing day‑to‑day crushing operations, this position involves coordinating regular equipment maintenance, ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures, and ensuring consistent productivity. As a leadership role, this position will also assist in training and developing Crushing Apprentices, helping foster growth within the team. Maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency is central to the success of this role and to the company’s overall operations.
- Full‑time; frequent travel required, typically Monday through Friday with lodging provided near job sites.
- Typical annual earnings: $80,000 - $100,00 per year.

Experience:
3+ years of experience working on a crushing plant, preferably in a leadership position. - Training Certification:
Must possess applicable certifications supporting safe and compliant crushing operations, including MSHA training for working in regulated mining environments[CC1]. - Equipment Operation:
Proficient in operating support equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators and haul trucks. - Equipment Maintenance/Troubleshooting:
Proficient in performing routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, such as greasing, cleaning, and part replacement. Ability to diagnose and fix issues with plant machinery, including conveyors, belts, and crushers. - Driver License:
Valid driver’s license with a driving record that includes no more than 3 moving violations and/or chargeable accidents in the last 3 years and no DUIIs. - Travel:
Travel away from home (typically Monday‑Friday) is a required part of this position. - ATF clearance:
Must pass a background check through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in compliance with federal explosive handling regulations. - Drug Test and Physical Screening:
Pre‑employment drug test and physical required. We conduct random drug tests and post‑accident testing. ARI maintains a zero‑tolerance drug policy, including marijuana. - Physical requirements:
Physical stamina with the ability to lift 75 pounds and remain on feet for long hours.
