Shop Mechanic

American Concrete Co. Is looking for candidates for entry-level positions as well as journeymen Concrete Saw Operators. American Concrete has been business since 1984 and is reputable, respected and licensed in 13 Western States. We are looking for Concrete Saw Operators. We supply our operators with an equipment yard, well-maintained equipment, office, a safe work environment, and technical training and support.

Shop Mechanic for a growing construction company, that has multiple shops and locations (Coburg, OR , Sherwood OR, and Olympia, WA).

This position entails:
Fixing, repairing, servicing and cleaning various types of specialty equipment. Travel may be needed at times to support operations that are dispatched out of three yards and occasionally at job sites. Company provided vehicle for travel. This position will report to Coburg, OR facility. When traveling, there may be occasional overnight stays, with hotel and meals paid for by the company.

Types of equipment to perform repairs and maintenance to, include but are not limited to:

Concrete Saws – Gas, Diesel, Hydraulic and Electric Powered

Power Generators

Air Compressors

Small Equipment (hand drills, core drills, breakers, etc.)

Small Engines

Trucks ranging in size from F150 to F850;
Ford, Sterling, Peterbilt, etc.

Other items:

• A valid driver’s license is needed (CDL Class A preferred but not required).
• Good communication skills are required, and basic computer skills are helpful.
• The ideal candidate would bring a team work mind set, assisting operators, helping them to keep their equipment working safely and properly.
• The ideal candidate will be able to complete and maintain service records, maintain and order parts to have on hand to complete work in a timely fashion and research solutions.
• The company can supply tools, or bring your own if you prefer.
• Typical work week is approximately 40 hours, 8 hours a day.
• Wage depends on Experience. Starting at a minimum of $29.00 per hour.
