Position: Locksmith - Eugene, OR

Cook Solutions Group, listed as a 100 Best Companies to Work for, is looking for a full‑time Locksmith in Eugene, OR. The position pays $40,000‑$55,000 starting wage based on experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Disassemble locks, such as padlocks, safe locks, vault locks, door locks and teller locks.
  • Repair or replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
  • Insert new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combination.
  • Cut new or duplicate keys using a key‑cutting machine.
  • Move lock pick in cylinder to open door locks without keys.
  • Open safe and vault locks by drilling.
  • Keep records of company locks and keys.
  • Account for all tools/equipment and all job parts/inventory.
  • Test all installed/serviced equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with customers’ requirements.
  • Communicate important project status information to management as necessary.
  • Communicate with customers on job status or completion.
  • Complete and turn in all required paperwork in a timely manner according to established procedures and deadlines, i.e., timesheets, expense reports, change orders, equipment transfers, etc.
  • Maintain and control assigned truck stock inventory in an organized manner.
  • Maintain control, and safeguard, all company or customer property or information of which employee has been entrusted.
  • Coordinate and ensure vehicle is maintained according to established standards.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles using safe driving practices.
  • May be asked to provide training to less experienced employees and trainees on company procedures, systems, and lock work techniques.
  • Ensure all work is performed to company quality standards and practices.
  • Work in compliance with Federal/State laws regarding safety of self and others at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Five to ten years of locksmith experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to a week if necessary.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
