Appliance Repair Technician

Position: Appliance Repair Technician - Eugene / Springfield - 1099
AMS Services is looking for an experienced residential appliance repair technician for Eugene, Springfield and nearby Oregon communities. Full-time availability is preferred; part-time can be discussed. Tell us which cities you can regularly cover; the service area will be agreed before starting.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not W-2 employment. Compensation is solely per completed, paid job: parts and materials are deducted from the customer payment, and the remaining amount is split 50/50 between the technician and AMS Services. Payments are issued on Thursdays for completed, finalized and paid jobs from the previous week. There is no hourly wage or base salary.

Workload and earnings are not guaranteed. Contractors pay their own vehicle, fuel, tools, insurance and tax expenses.

You will independently diagnose and repair household appliances in customers’ homes, explain the diagnosis and repair options clearly, obtain customer approval for appropriate repairs, and document your work in Housecall Pro. Reliable communication with customers and dispatch, punctual attendance, and following jobs through completion are essential.

We provide dispatch support, scheduling assistance and access to Housecall Pro. Before starting, you must have an LLC, General Liability Insurance, a completed W-9, and signed AMS contractor agreement and technician handbook. You may apply while preparing your LLC and insurance.
