Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is a professional organization in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry. We produce and distribute brick and related products across 13 states, aiming to be more than just a brick manufacturer.

We are seeking a best‑in‑class Credit Assistant with excellent organization skills and a personable disposition. The ideal candidate is adaptable, flexible, and eager to support the Sales Manager, Sales Representatives, and customers in all credit and collections matters. You will provide reliable support to company operations, ensuring efficient procedures, clear communication, and top‑notch customer service.

• Collection of accounts receivable and customer contact on past‑due accounts; prepare and file lien and bond documents.
• Account reconciliation research including disputes, cash in advance, and open balances.
• Research and evaluation of credit for new accounts and updates for existing accounts, providing recommendations to the local Sales Manager.
• Daily credit processing and account maintenance.
• Point‑of‑sale and local payments reconciliation, including bank deposits and cash handling.

• 2+ years of experience in an office setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; JDE experience preferred.
