Under general supervision, the Pool Assistant Manager Outdoor - Concessions is responsible for overseeing the daily concession operations at The Euless Family Life Aquatic Park. This position also serves as the liaison for Aquatic Park rentals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for all aspects of customer service to include assisting customers, training pool attendants, resolving customer complaints, entering ticket money into point of sale at the front gate, and checking in user groups including, but not limited to; daycares, day camp groups and birthday parties.
- Oversees the daily operation of all concessions at The Euless Family Life Aquatic Park, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
- Maintains inventory management, assists with tracking supplies as directed by Recreation Assistant – Aquatics, checks all deliveries against invoices to verify accuracy, and assists with implementing and maintaining concession policies and procedures.
- Responsible for training seasonal concession staff on cash handling procedures, ensures staff is properly trained on all equipment as well as on all City policies and procedures as it relates to the concession operations.
- Establishes familiarity of aquatic rental policies and procedures, prepares rental space and check guests in upon arrival, ensures renters comply with rental agreements and signs check list prior to departure from the facility.
- Assists in supervising concession operations during operating hours and troubleshooting as needed, and ensures staff maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned to include assisting in the maintenance of general office functions and operations.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED
- Thorough knowledge of the pool’s safety rules.
- Basic knowledge of cash register, POS (Point of Sale), Rec Trac computer usage and printers, credit card machines, kitchen equipment, including oven, warmer, roller, microwave, etc.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare routing reports.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and have availability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred plus six (6) months to one (1) year of customer service experience is required. Two (2) years of customer service experience is preferred. Must possess First Aid and Food Handler’s Certificate. Must have a valid Texas Drivers License with a good driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTFrequent sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting and reaching are required. Repetitive movement of wrist and fingers during computer date input is required. Maintains static posture during sitting. 50-100% computer use. Occasional lifting loads up to 55 lbs.; carrying 55 lbs. up to 15 feet; pushing/pulling 20 lbs.; gripping/rotating hand tools; star/step climbing; working in outside temperatures including excess heat, cold, and precipitation.
