Under general supervision, the Pool Attendant is responsible for providing general information and outstanding customer service to patrons regarding aquatics memberships, programs, and policies. Maintains clean facility while following food handling guidelines and monitoring open areas for trash. Communicates with management staff and other pool attendants to ensure patron matters are being attended to and conflicts are being handled.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provides customer service assistance to ensure positive public relations, resolves customer concerns, and meets customer needs.
- Follows and enforces appropriate safety and security precautions to safeguard all City assets (human, environmental, and financial), assists in maintaining a safe and clean facility and ensures patrons are properly fit for life vests.
- Performs cashier duties as required, ensures an accurate account of revenues received, and completes all appropriate opening/closing paperwork and cleaning procedures.
- Prepares concession stand for daily operations including food prep, performs basic inventory counts, and performs bag checks to ensure facility rules are properly enforced.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED:
- Ability to approach and communicate with patrons in a personable, confident, and welcoming manner.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to keep accurate and honorable cash management records and exchanges.
- Ability to operate equipment including telephones, computers, concession stand appliances, and cash register (POS) Point of Sale.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, maintain regular and consistent attendance, and maintain emotional control under stress.
REQUIRED:
Must be at least 15 years of age. Must possess a valid Food Handler’s License or have the ability to obtain upon hire.
