Floater​/Standby Caregiver

Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable home health caregiver for an on-call position - with guaranteed pay every week, even when you’re not assigned a shift. This role lets you work with a variety of clients, gain valuable caregiving experience, and enjoy the stability of reliable pay.

• Guaranteed 30 hours per week, regardless of whether you are assigned a client
• Competitive hourly rate: USD 15.50–17.00/hr, paid even if no shift is assigned
• Extra pay for hours worked beyond the guaranteed schedule
• Overtime pay when applicable

• Supportive team environment, with 24/7 on-call support

• Stay available and ready to accept client assignments during guaranteed hours
• Render compassionate, high-quality care and assistance with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping)
• Follow individualized care plans and adhere to company policies
• Communicate clearly with the office about schedule, availability, and any client updates
• Adapt to working with different clients and adjusting to changing needs

• Minimum 1 year of professional caregiving experience
• Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel up to 20 miles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and auto insurance listing you as a covered driver
• Experience supporting clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia is a plus
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility support
• Comfortable around pets (cats & dogs)
• Flexible, adaptable, punctual, and professional
• Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference checks
